Echoes of Glory
A bandit group of the Tandak Plains, the Reavers were once the largest unified gang, said to number anywhere from 40 to 70 men. Their former leader, a man named Gaunt, made the fateful decision to send the majority of his men out to catch more beasts for him to slay with his new toy (a cursed Mace of Blood) the day before the Battle of Rhoetius was fought. Without Reaver support, the town soon fell to the so-called Knights of Blackthorn.
Gaunt himself was one of the first to be killed, and without him leadership of the group passed to Pauva. Afterwards, the tattered remnants of other bandit groups flocked to the Reaver banner, swelling their numbers.
With the promise of payment and pardon for their services from House Disaren, the Reavers assaulted Evondemor ahead of Disaren’s armies, but were unexpectedly attacked themselves by Eagle Knight commandos. With Pauva slain and dozens of their number dead, the Reavers fled the city. In the chaos and war of the months that followed, there now remains almost nothing of the once powerful group.
