Echoes of Glory
Named for Carver Rhoades, a smuggler and gambler who founded the little town. Carver made exorbitant amounts of money from his smuggling operations, and lost equally exorbitant amounts gambling. He raised taxes time and time again, lording over his employees and their families like a prince while living the high life and surrounding himself with treasures. Eventually, an angry peasant mob killed him and took his gold for their own. They hold a yearly party known as Carver’s day, where smoked meats are served, alcohol is consumed in huge quantities, and they burn the old bastard in effigy. Carver’s flagship was the Kraken.
Eagle Knights from Andoran, accompanied by Lagatha, hunting for the treacherous Pauva, recently passed through Carver’s Cove and found it completely abandoned. Signs point to most of the inhabitants being forcefully dragged away rather than leaving of their own volition, though it seems a select few decided to move to Rhoetius before whatever befell their town had struck.
